Had you employed this strategy in 2003, you'd have realized all the "losses" possible holding cash, and missed all of the gains in equities and gold... Opportunities lost...

Holding cash when MM accounts are routinely paying much less than 1% does not hold much appeal for me. I'd rather take some measured risks and go long on some stock(s) (maybe with some dividends) or go short on the market in a bear fund. Even investing in a neighborhood lemonade stand might offer better returns... <g>

KJC
