<it is too late for America to try to disasociate itself from Israel, even if it wanted to> Israel behaves as if the US will back it no matter what Israel does. Israel behaves as if the world revolves around Israel. The United States can leave Israel to sort out its own mess. Perhaps it is time to cut the $20 billion dollar annual subsidy of Israel and let the Arabs and Israel decide if they want to kill each other or find peace. US involvement to date has been fruitless, and such close penetration of Israeli influence in Washington calls into question who it is our elected leaders are working for, Israelis or Americans.
