How has he intruded in your life? How is this govt more intrusive than the last one?

The laws are being set up to allow the president absolute authority to condemn any individual in secret. It's a mistake to depend on the good intentions of an all-powerful central gov't, even more so anyone in power who covets such authority. The cancer on our system is unrestrained secrecy, which allows a few insiders unlimited power, including the power to bamboozle the jellyfish Congress.

This administration has accelerated the destruction of our way of life, but the last administration has nothing to brag about, wrt civil liberties. The aftermath of the OK bombing saw Clinton sign initial terrorist acts into law, which obviously failed to prevent the FBI from noticing the 911 conspirators that they were following.

You should talk more to arab americans who find our tolerance as a people remarkable given the circumstance of 9/11.

Agreed. I talk to many, of that as well as other opinions. But, so far, even the angry ones I've talked to in this country aren't moving back <g>

This is an amazing country we live in.

That's for sure.
