China to build oil pipeline from Kazakhstan

MOSCOW - China is ready to finance the construction of an oil pipeline from Kazakhstan with an initial capacity of up to 20m tons a year. According to Kairgeldy Kabyldin, General Director of Kazakhstan’s national gas company Kazmunaigaz, responsible for transport infrastructure and service projects, the construction will start in mid-2004.
