Bin Laden, UN vote and Iraq are different issues. I say go after Bin Laden. Flush him out kill him.

Chinu.. where was the UN authorization to use force when Bush invaded Afghanistan?

Where was the UN authorization to use force when Clinton started bombing Serbia's handling of its separatist province, Kosovo?

They lobbied countries very publicly prior to the vote. Instead they should have just pressed on with 1441 and not lobbied the way they did.

I completely agree (finally).. The US congress had already passed an authorization to use force against Iraq previous to the UNSC vote on 1441.. There was NO OTHER interpretation that UNSC members could take when they voted 15-0 in favor of 1441.

They knew if they voted for it, Bush would take action..

And I think that also Russia said they would veto along with France.

I believe Russia said they would abstain, after receiving suggestions of "guarantees" from the US, (or maybe threats) should they act in favor of Saddam's regime.

As for aspartame.. I say don't use it. I don't buy products containing it. I use Spenda, when available, and Sacharrin, when not. Some people claim to love Stevia... Lots of alternatives.
