The law NOW is that employers cannot knowingly hire illegals.

That is enforced very strictly and we have seen that it has stemmed the tide considerably. In other words it has helped us to be more effective in close the borders.

With the proposed law, you open the floodgates.

You asked, who will replace the workers? No not me and I presume you neither. But there is a better way to implement that. Between Govt. to Govt. Give them work permits in the country of origin, bring them here under some sort of a tracking system, require minimum residency requirements in their country of origin before they can return etc. And then regulate their wages. Similar to H1B where they brought in software engineers during the Clinton years. They brought these people in legally.

I AM FOR BRINGING THEM IN LEGALLY. NOT GRANTING THEM AMNESTY AND REWARDING THEM FOR BREAKING THE LAW.

We have a right to guard our borders and no one can violate our sovereignty.
