I have seen tests of bullet incursion into tanks. Propane leaks a while then explodes. Methane leaks and then goes into an explosive Challenger like missile. Hydrogen just leaks. If the Hydrogen leak is ignited, it just burns in a spear like flame. No explosion. The iron chip carrier thingies and borohydrates can be used safely by the public today as little hydrogen is evolved at any one them. In fact propery constructed (ventilated) and professionally maintained hydrogen tanks could probably be used safely in vehicles. We already do methane and propane and they are much more of a bomb than hydrogen. Your average gas tank is no honey in a crash and a fire either we know. The Firenza was aptly named. EC<:-}

BB take an old Gas empty gas tank and get your gun out and see what happens.It will explode.

You have never shot a propane tank ? Or a gas tank ? Oh Bobby you are not yet complete. Do it in the middle of the night, on a dark logging road with some mountains around. You have to do it at least once before you die. But please do not graduate to filling a garbage bag with oxygene and acetylene , placing it in your car and driving to the beach to light said bag. Its already been done. Some guys have made it to the beach...others have not . I hear EC may try this as a cheap alternative to c4 when he finaly gets his mine going. KAFOOOOOOSH ralfph
