Do I form an alliance with the socialists to neutralize the religio-zealots, or vice-versa... It's a classic "false alternative" question - "do you want a broken arm or a broken leg?" I was "none of the above" for years. After 911, I went Neo-Con. The battle in the Republican Party, which the Social Conservatives are winning, is between them and we "Eagles" who are Liberal socially. Because of this, you will see the Eagle type Republicans join up with the Democrats in Congress to stop the Social legislation. Constant battle that will never quit. As I type this, I am watching the New England game, being played in 6 degree weather, and switching over to watch Tiger play golf here in the Islands on Maui, in 78 degree weather. This last week has been exceptional here in Waikiki. Low 70, high 80 clear skies, and a nice breeze. lindybill@eatyourheartout.com
