Hi, I think this is a very interesting subject. Being from Florida and doing a lot of fishing, I have noticed huge swings in fish populations over the years.

I think fish farming was initially a good response to the immense waste produced by commercial fishing (four pounds of wasted fish for each pound of fish brought to market; ten pounds wasted for every pound of shrimp brought to market).

Now we are discovering that on a large scale, fish farming is also harmful.

I don't think there is an easy solution to this, other than to severely restrict both farming and commercial harvest. Fish will become very expensive, but there really isn't any other solution.
