Ya know, I would be quite happy, since I live in Alaska, if fish farming petered out. it's mostly forbidden here and we would be way behind the curve if we took it up. I don't think it's realistic to expect to kill fish farming. Historically this dynamic has played out many times, beginning with early farming cultures pushing out hunter/gatherer cultures and including the white man displacing the Indian in America. Fair or not, those who can use the land in the most efficient manner will eventually gain the upper hand. And aquaculture (fish farming) is a lot more efficient than the alternative.

I don't think any fishermen will have to be slaughtered to make it happen; prices have been in the toilet the past decade and fewer and fewer people are getting into fishing or staying in it.
