I am in some agreement with that. I grew up in a logging community. The men that went out deep into the woods needed what they called crummies back then. Usually an International Travelall or some stripped down pre-version of a Suburban. But they need to get 6-8 men in it and needed 4 wheel drive. What I don't like is why does a soccer mom or an office worker with 1 or 2 people in the car on dry pavement need these energy guzzling pigs?
Lot of energy waste. Me I buy the oldest reliable cars I can for the least amount of money and have it for a nice 4 person family car. the kids are soon to leave and at that point maybe Primus for me.
