Bush tried.

Bush tried to get the UN to attack Iraq after he (Cheney and the neocons in his admin back as far as 1998, or 1991 depending on how far you want to go back) had already decided to attack Iraq while at each opportunity stating that war was his (bush's) last resort. The world (including the french) knew it (they) were being deceived.

Like I said before if you want to open a watermelon, you can do it with a sledge hammer, or a knife.

Both ways will open the watermelon and then you will have access to the sweet middle. So in that respect both methods yield results.

Since Bush used the sledge hammer, you now have the sweet juice of the watermelon, but it's all over your face.

Results of his action doesn't justify the means, nor do results reveal the error of the method. Unless you look in the mirror.
