No, this is not a plague on both of your houses situation. The PNAC actively manipulated our institutions to start a war for their profit. For the most part, the mistake of others was to believe that the President, the head of CIA, and Secretary of State and the other neocons had some integrity and would be truthful. It was not unreasonable at the time for some to assume that these leaders of our government had the country's interest in mind.
