Fangorn,

Oooof!

It has suddenly occurred to me that either you are completely manic or you're one of the finest comedians I have ever met. Your posts on the subject Asteroid collisions and Chinese Moon attacks are wonderfully insane.

I had a particularly good laugh at your description of a possible Chinese Moon attack. This is classic.

"One example... use a mass driver to throw chunks of rock or just dust filled tin cans at whatever target on Earth you want."

This is actually a great relief to me. I had foolishly assumed that the next military exchange with the Chinese would be with nuclear weapons. It never occurred to me that we would regress back to the stone age. I can't understand how come no one else ever thought of this before. Tossing rocks from a distance of a quarter of a million miles away is brilliant. We won't even know they were doing it!!. How do you detect rocks on radar? We need an immediate expeditionary to the Moon. In fact, I think we need to seize every Moon and large asteroid in the solar system to prevent those dastardly Chinese from 'rocking' us to death.

Damn the torpedos and the National Budget! Militarize NASA. We need multi-million dollar rock tossing systems or it's curtains. To the Moon, Alice!! To the Moon!!!

Are you all with me or against me???

[Fangorn - I see now that you were having fun at my expense. You'll forgive me of course for doing the same. - <g>]
