Well the way I looked at it is that Saddam and Bin Laden are natural enemies. The Baath party and radical islam have very little common ground, given that Bin Laden would like to make the Baath party extinct.

I was very much in favor of the war with Afghanistan. Actually I think we were too easy on them, too concerned with civilian casualties. We should have kept pounding on them for a few more months.

Basically I think we should be a lot more brutal and ruthless in dealing with anti-US terrorists (killing family members, etc.). Take a Keyser Soze approach to the thing.

But other than those terrorists, we should leave the middle east alone.
