Do you really think that would have made a difference? When I responded to you, I was doing the "if wishes were horses" game. I watched Frum and Perle make the point that our war on terror does not depend on the outcome of the Israel/Pal situation. If the Pals killed all the Israelis and took over the entire area, the Fanatics would still be getting indoctrinated in the Maddressas in Malaysia. We are in for a multi-generational pull. And we will probably have to take a massive hit before we face up to it.
