It would be interesting to see more current data; it isn't something I've looked at or even looked for.

However, it is difficult for me to understand how the Left constantly drones on about Clinton's "Great Economy" when the fundamental premise of the Left's economic agenda (wealth redistribution) appears to have failed during Clinton's tenure.

The fundamental logical flaw, of course, is that showing that the "rich get richer" makes no statement whatsoever about the poor or middle class -- it is NOT a zero-sum game. The "rich getting richer" may be the only thing that has kept the middle class from being in worse shape yet than it otherwise would have been.

It is convenient to zero-in on some aspect of the economic picture you don't like and offer it as either a premise or a result; but these interactions are far too complex to allow logical conclusions based on such simplistic analyses.
