But to be successful more less than 50% of users have to like the damn thing oh please. apple's #1 competitor has been an existence proof to the contrary for 2 decades already.

Actually I'd say if 10% of users hate something there is something wrong. Lots more than 10% of users hate Windows, but it's the single most successful OS product in the world. What's your point? Dave By the way, I think the Dock is pretty nice. I keep it auto-hidden, but I like it better than all alternatives I've seen (especially the Windows task bar). I also use Exposé all the time, and it's much more powerful than the alternatives like Windowshade. You can drag something from one window, press and hold F9 to show all apps' windows, drag your item over some other window, release F9, and drop into that window. It's a beauty thing.
