Hi M, It's ridiculous to do other than leave staff selection to willing buyers and sellers to decide who they want to employ and who they want to work for.
So, first of all, the practical import is keep legislators' silly hands off employer's decisions on who to employ. Actually I agree with you here (mostly) in the current context of the western world. I simply think the game has been rigged heretofore and now as 'thngs' become more 'equal' which will still take time. The disparities you cite are carry over. There is a lot of inertia still to overcome (nice euphemism there). OTOH the US might have saved itself a lot of grief is they did a little more to promote equality after the emancipation. Of course many of the emancipators likely hoped all those folks with new found freedom would go somewhere else maybe :o)
Funny to speculate how different the world might be were it not for the suffragettes. Women would still be relegated to influencing things with strong thighs and bedroom politics..
That girl you mentioned going into and then leaving the math class... I wonder if there was any none to subtle external stimulation altering her choices ? Barbie didn't do math you know.. It appears some of what you consider causes I see as symptoms..
Yeah like so many things it's not so cut and dry... but these discussions at least keep the neural pathways open and unclog some in hibernation ....
Enough of this... I'm going with my little guy this afternoon for some visceral, meaningless, testosterone charged Monster Trucks and the demolition derby, crash 'em and smash 'em I say... my daughter has informed me that she has outgrown that stuff... oh oh! A good bonding experience nonetheless..
regards Kastel
