Prevention is the best cure for now. I won't even feed meat to my dog any more. And I did read that article - until CJD manifests and without a blood test, there is no way to determine if someone has the disease. The only safe blood donors, it seems, are lifelong vegetarians. On another topic, I watched the Nelson family bio. Ozzie, who "never drank", succumbed to cirrhosis of the liver. Gee, I wonder why!!!! He'd had radiation treatment for colon cancer. The radiation treatment caused the liver to fail. This is something doctors who makes millions from the suffering of people don't tell their patients, unless it happens to them in which case they use alternative treatments that the AMA lobbies to keep from the public.

Bombs going off right (Baghdad) and left (Karbala), Shia marching (tens of thousands in Baghdad today), Kurds saying we want our city (Kirkuk) back, the Turkomen apparently want a return of the Ottoman caliphate, and Bremer heads to the UN for help.
