here's the point.

The class warfare rhetoric, which you so
beautifully illustrate, focuses on the "rich"
(of whatever stripe is expedient for your current discussion) and
promotes confiscation of property
just because they're "wealthy" or because you
don't think they deserve to have it. Like who the heck
are you, or any politician for that matter, to make
such a judgment?

Maybe I disagree with the way you live your life or
spend your money. Does that mean I should see to it
that your money is taken from you? Of course not.

Besides, confiscation of every so-called rich person's
total assets would only have a short term effect
on government debt. Then what? It's a stupid notion,
just designed to make the not-rich feel better, without
accomplishing anything.

Second, as I've stated before, spending is the problem.

I'm disinclined to give any politician more money just
'cause they want it to buy votes, which is really
what it's all about.

The whole discussion about the tax system and the
persistent "rich do not pay their fair share"
mantra, which practically every Dem contender espouses,
is designed to appeal to rank jealousies of their
constitutencies.

And you are evidently foremost among them, sorry to say.
