As I see it, you have two options for cycling through and fixing posts: before or after Oracle to SQL migration. On the surface, it seems as simple as reading from the former, running various corrective routines, and then writing to the latter. However, there are also keys to maintain, stored procedures to convert, various illegal characters that need to be addressed, etc. so it would seem prudent to use some sort of migration tool. But I'm sure you've already got a good sense on how to handle this.

Once the SQL database integrity is confirmed, that would seem like the best time to run a few home-grown utilities to fix things like trailing <br> tags, old-style SI links (don't forget the SI numerical shortcuts), and to strip out "a href" tags if you want to be consistent with iHub (seems like a good idea because it would allow easier searching for words in links, but it does add overhead). I'm sure by the time you begin this task that we'll have a much larger list of ideas.

See you divided the subject and peoplemarks pages. Big improvement imo. The new Message Boards page looks great too. Nice clean design.

When is this beauty going to go into production?

PS. I have dumped caches, rebooted etc and still get the yellow logo in the bottom bar with Opera and NN4.79, tho not with IE5. Got a fix for me?

Holy Zippiety dooo di day!!!
And whooooo baby!

I just clicked on my subjectsmarks page and it loaded in less than five seconds
I mean subjects with and without new messages-
And we're talking several hundred threads too.
And a handfull of them have images for the thread title which loaded in their full glory.

Is this due to low traffic on the dev site
OR
Can I expect the same response when we roll out into membership usage?

**
Also, I like the layout and fonts(just the right size for me)- very crisp and clean.
I'm glad to see the delete boxes have been removed for individual threads.
Since that one rolled out I lost a lot of performance and it didn't add any value to my pattern of Si cruising.

P.S> Any time frame as to when portfolio links will be set up?
No hurry on my part, just mostly curious because in my current Classic the fonts for the portfolios page is larger than all other pages.
It's been that way for a few years now.
