wine has such a relative low alcohol by volume that you would really need a LOT of wine to get yourself plastered....
Clearly a rank amateur. :-)

I have NO IDEA why Coors, miller and 'Bud' exist... an aberration to good taste, the stuff is disgusting
I believe you can be deported for that! :-)

Not that I disagree.

any beer (from the boutique breweries) is of excellent quality
No. I have tasted some **** from some of them too.

I have first hand evidence to the contrary... when it comes to food and drink, forgive me but the Brits have absolutely no clue... they are lost in space...
True, you have no clue. They USED to have EXCELLENT beers. They were noted for it and I have first hand experience to back it up. But that is gone.

The "food" I will not argue. They have absolutely no clue. The saying has long been "If you like the weather, you will LOVE the food." A recheck last May showed no improvement. We tried one "British" meal and immediately switched to Pizza Hut and Indian restaurants. Hopeless beyond hope.

the cars today are so capable and safe, indeed there is a new BMW that has the technology to stop the ca from skidding in many circumstances (and a lot more than).
1. Hardly all cars on the road are BMWs.
2. I have no doubt that a well conducted study would show a correlation between speed and accidents and death regardless of the car and road. The time you have to react to stay out of trouble in the first place is reduced at higher speeds. And there are things that can happen at high speeds that NO technology can save you from.

But the highways? Interstate and state routes? = BS...
Nuts. First of all, the biggest determinant of accidents between cars is speed difference. You are ALWAYS going to have great granma and granpa doing 50. If some one comes roaring at them in the same lane doing 180....

you cross the line of the red light... what are you going to use as defense ? The ghost made me do it?

Whereas in speed... here is an argument that what triggered the camera.... and how fast were you going....

Same essentially. What triggered the camera? How do you KNOW the light hadn't changed earlier? There's glare on the windsheild. How do you KNOW that's me in there. Because if someone else was driving the car, you don't get to ticket ME. You gotta ticket THEM.

45 to 55 fahrenheit is the typical serving temp of a British beer not room temp unless you can't afford the heating bills.

regards: Bud, miller, coors and t'other crap -
lagers and pilsners taste best served cold, many other beer styles do not benefit from borderline freezing temperatures"
when beer is chilled to 32½º F, it numbs your palate which lessens your taste buds ability to distinguish the complex flavors of a good beer

P.S I love a cold American larger/pilsner in the summer but wouldn't touch it in the winter.
