Joe, RE: "A simpler method would be that a condition of receiving funds from any public assistance program, the mother would have to agree to the implant that works as a contraception. Radio personality Bob Grant advocated this.

It would be basically voluntary. A trade. A poor women would trade eligibility for public assistance for her right to have more children. Seems fair to me. Joe"

Mathematically there's an even better solution. Men can give off say about 100,000,000 sperm on any given day, leading to say approximately 2.3 trillion sperms over a lifetime, or say 22,880 fertile opportunities. Meanwhile, women have say approximately 360 eggs or say 1080 fertile opportunities over a lifetime, or something like that.

The math here is loosely done, but you get the jest of it. One man can create many more pregnancies than one woman.

So, while Bob Grant might think it's best for the mother, the more optimal solution would be for some type of implant for the male rather than the female.
