Alti... <.Pleiku? or down by Buon Me Thuat?> We stayed in Buon Me Thuat in November. It is not in the same decade as Saigon and Hanoi. It is still looking a bit stuck in the late 80's....kind of a depressing place. They do not see many caucasians there, I was quite the attraction...I had a lot of fun with it. There was a largely unpublicized rebellion in Buon Me Thuat in 2001, where the minority tribes took over the city for a few days before being crushed and driven into Cambodia. This was back when we were attempting to build the first two well sat the Chicken Village, which we were originally denied due to problems the government was having with the minorities.....I was enlightened on this on our last last trip. Well #6, at Buu Thang Pagoda, is about 25 miles north of Buon Me Thuat. The two new wells we were thinking about building, are about 50 miles SW from Buon Me Thoat, right next to the Cambodian border. Hung sent me some photos that he took there a few years back, but I couldn't open them. He'll go back in February to check things out. scoot
