...to do about foreign outsourcing?

It is all a matter of understanding the common interest of the people of the United States. To a certain extent you must understand the interest of the people of the world, but there is limited opportunity to do more than lead by example.

It is in the interest of all the peoples to not have growing armys of unemployed or underemployed people along with a select few who are trying to transform their gated community into a real fortress.

The cost to the country is the about the same for a domestic worker and an overseas worker. The foriegn job costs the company less, but someone is paying for the unemployment, food stamps, health disasters, prisons and other side effects of the layed off employee. The key is to keep the cost more tightly aligned with the company that is reaping the benefit instead of having them push it off onto the common payer. This is usually a tax issue, but there are a variety of ways to align the cost with the benefit.
