Summary: The comments made by former Treasury Secretary O'Neill demand a
full-scale investigation by Congress. Who was part of the secret energy meetings held
by Vice President Cheney, and what did the White House promise? This is very
important because now it appears that the invasion of Iraq was planned before 9/11, and
that the emphasis for attacking Iraq was to plunder Iraq's oil. All this would be academic
if it wasn't for the hundreds of dead U.S. soldiers and the thousands of dead Iraqi soldiers
and civilians. Saying Saddam Hussein was a "bad guy" isn't enough to justify pre-emptive
war. The U.S. public has a right to know all the facts, not just those pieces of
information that make the current Administration look good.

The ultimate question is "what harm is caused by handing them a bunch of dollars for goods and services"? I am trying to consider it from all angles.........
