If one wants the "3rd world" to progress, why is one against jobs being handled from the "3rd world" at a lower price point than the "1st world".

Protectionists don't give a damn about the Third World. When they give it any thought at all, they like the idea of little brown people living indigenous lifestyles without being poisoned by Western values like clean water, paved roads, electricity, and mechanized agriculture.

Exactly Kumar.Exploitation my arse.

There is a lot more exploitation going on by those who oppose the natural progression of jobs to cheaper labor markets. Its all about political rhetoric and soundbites.

How arrogant to look down their noses and proclaim for others that they are being exploited...from who's perspective?

>>If one wants the "3rd world" to progress, why is one against jobs being handled from the "3rd world" at a lower price point than the "1st world" ? How does one expect progress to come about, without appropriate job opportunities (and these are not state funded jobs) ? <<
