No one said anything about a non-response. The world was standing shoulder to shoulder with us, we could have forced a solution. But W and the boys would have nothing to do with that, they wanted a war. It was about oil and the control of oil. I was largely for the action in Afghanistan, but we diverted our attention, and that one is going in the wrong direction also. Kosovo was a success. Every situation is different, requiring a different response. Losing focus and moving on to Iraq was a blunder in my opinion.
