The Inflation/Deflation argument boiles down to two sides of the same coin.....trouble in the end. Deflationists of which Mish is the most vocal proponent here, believes all attempts at inflation are doomed, and what inflation there is is now topped out, and we are sliding quickly and surely into deflation/depression. Inflationists believe there is one more kick at the inflation cat, perhaps even hyper inflation, baked into the pie by easy Al and then deflation.

In either case, both opposites believe the end result is catastrophic. The FED and CBs prefer inflation. Will they succeed, and will they launch the greatest inflationary times in history?

Place your bets.
