Stop rewriting history rruff. Let certain truths be. Then negotiate from truth. The people in Deir Yassin did not feel like they were going to out gun the Israelis. Doesn't matter how many were killed, they were killed and the event was broadcast and propagated by Israeli's to scare the people out and create reugees. No Arab arimies ever reached that land. Israel moved out and took over more land and did fighting on that land. Read the chronicles. read the diaries and biographies of the Israeli leaders of the time. Ben Gurion was pissed that he didn't get more land and the desire for "Greater Israel" has been going ever since.
