Amy Re...hmaly, I think the article was clearly meant in the way muozzi interpreted it.

What the professor meant to say, and what he actually said, are two different things. You can't deduce from the article, positively either way, so it is a poorly written press release. And, once you get some experience on this board, you will understand, that a lot of the articles presented here, are bogus; written in a way to mislead.

As for whether there are different levels of health care for the minorities vs the non., sure, I will buy that. But, I doubt if it is racial. It is from the simple fact, hospitals need to make money to pay their people, so they give preferential treatment, to the customers, who they feel, will pay the most for their services. Same with the clinics, and big drug outfits. VC's are out there to make money, just like everyone else. And you could be right, in that VC's need more women researchers, to better point the funds money towards womans issues, which could also be profitable.
