Hi hmaly, good post. the article almost seemed to have a suggestive hint that the discrepancies were intentional. when it's about diversity that gives vision to different insights and needs.

If that were the true reason, you'd have to explain why heart attacks (which are the #1 killer for women, not breast cancer) has small airplay. A high volume number of customers, yet, no targeted treatment for women on the highest volume illness?

(Women's detection and treatment of heart illness is different than mens.)

Unknowingly so, unintentional preferential treatment goes to the customer base that has more representation at say the mfg base. It's not intentional, it's just a gap in insight.
