NONE of the talking heads saw it coming. as it turned out, ventura sucked becuz he's so darn confrontational.. but his having been elected proves without question that polls often mean NOTHING did anyone see dean's appearance on sunday in new hampshire?! i just saw a portion of it on C-Span. not long ago, i was an undecided voter. i think i can now say that dean has earned my vote. all i saw was the question and answer session at the end of his rally. he answered the varying questions w/ TOTAL sincerity; it gave me chills on several occasions. this is not a man trying to determine how best to frame his speech so that people will like what they are hearing. instead, this guy speaks with his soul. you don't see him looking towards the ceiling searching for words after the next person asks his or her question. no, he's staring back at that person with intensity, already into his response b4 they can even finish asking it. he's obviously spent a LOT of time thinking about solutions to the many issues that plague this nation. a few of his responses had me sitting up in my chair going "wow, that's innovative" or "gee, that actually sounds like it might work" the other candidates seem like they're just regurgitating old ideas that don't work. plus, they need to have had the ability to see that the case bush was offering for WMDs in iraq was total BS, and voted to not authorize the invasion. I was able to see it for what it was, why couldn't they? perhaps they could but didn't have the backbone to be a dissenting voter. you're not gonna get that w/ dean .. and as a result, i wouldn't be surprised if he won new hampshire by a landslide on tuesday
