nspolar...I totally agree with the scenario you outlined. I'm waiting for the 2 or a lower high to totally commit. Gold will most likely get pounded as well in a harsh sell off.

Another thing I might add is the dollar.

I've mentioned a possible dollar storm coming. If it does and dollar heads towards 80 I think we're going to witness some dollar asset dumping, at least a beginning. My sense is investors are starting to worry about the dollar, just a tad, and it scares em.

Just the other night I was reading an analyst re currency issues, and this person confirmed my thoughts. As currencies go into a trend, the trend usually strengthens, in this case that would mean the downward curve will steepen. We shall see, but that could very easily happen here.
