Dean is finished. forget about him. Kerry is the new leader of the Dem party and will beat Bush. Get behind him. Edwards will also likely trump Clark as the Veep. Dean himself knows it's over. Just some Deaniacs want to fight on so he will until the money runs out. dean won't win a single primary. May not even come in 2nd again. He'll continue on pride alone but it wont be pretty.

coug, Your description of Dean keeping control of Clark resonates as a Truman/MacArthur situation. Dean has Truman's feisty, confident attitude as well. I believe hammering GW Bush's domestic policy would win more votes than the anti-war theme. Many Dems agree with Bush Adm that if we don't take the fight to the terrorists in their homeland, they'll bring it back to us. However, those same people are struggling with effects of Bush's free trade policies. Millions unemployed, millions more have already settled for jobs that pay far less without the benefits of their previous positions. Job outsourcing which is starting to effect even the best jobs in IT, back office legal work, medical sector, even county government(really an outrage) has finally taken the spotlight & voters are disturbed by the trend. Dean should replace his constant Iraq thumping with the jobs issue. That will ultimately win both more attention & voters for him. It's fine to remind the crowds of Iraq & the over 500 deaths & WMD debacle BUT main theme should be the dismal economic situation for average citizens who are still very worried about keeping a job or finding one that will support their families. The country is still divided 50/50 & it will take only small % of vote to win.
