I completely disagree. Heinz will be a big asset. She is very calm, collected and smart. She was married to a Republican senator for many years. She was a Republican until last year. She also has a very nice family who are all good-looking and smart as can be. Dean's wife is an embarrassment. She avoids Dean in public and I get the feeling they have private arguments about something serious. Her excuse of wanting to stay with her son and patients is weak. There's something wrong there.

As for the "outsider" issue, Kerry is running against DC special interests, Edwards calls himself the only real outsider, so does Clark and so does Dean.

As for waffling on the war, so to speak, it's now clear Bush deceived congress as well as everyone else. The evidence has come in. Since we all know Dean is not psychic he can't claim much credit. Besides, he backed Biden-Lugar and claimed there were WMD's. We can also read Kerry's Senate vote speech warning Bush that if he doesn't go thrugh the UN, build a coalition and plan for the peace first, he will be against any invasion. Finally, even on Dean's top issues, Kerry beats him. The only group Dean narrowly wins are the hardcore anti-war voter peace-marchers who become few and far between in the states they are traveling to next. Only in Washington State does dean have a chance to finish near the top now. Of course anything could happen. But Kerry is a very smart campaigner and is not likely to make any big gaffes or mistakes.
