DIMETHAID ANNOUNCES CHANGES TO BOARD
Dimethaid Research has disclosed changes to the makeup of its board of
directors. Brian Walsh and Glen Sather have resigned, citing time
constraints in meeting their commitments to the company. Corporate finance
specialist John M. Wiseman is joining the board after 35 years in public
accounting.
Rebecca E. Keeler, Dimethaid's president and chief executive officer, said
the changes represented an orderly transition that was "healthy for the
company and completely in line with anticipated long-term developments as
product commercialization expands globally."
"Brian Walsh and Glen Sather have made valuable contributions," Ms. Keeler
said. "And John Wiseman, with his impressive public sector credentials,
represents a strong addition to the board, particularly in financial
areas."
A chartered accountant educated in the United Kingdom, Mr. Wiseman
immigrated to Canada in 1959 and later became a founding partner in Lipton,
Wiseman, Altbaum & Partners LLP, a firm that over the last 30 years, has
continued expanding its practice in such sectors as manufacturing,
international trade, information technology, and retail and wholesale
operations.
Mr. Wiseman's audit and intial public offering clients have included
Toronto Stock Exchange-listed companies Yogen Fruz International (now
CoolBrands) and BFS Entertainment Ltd., and he has served as a director for
Arthurs-Jones (now Invesprint). In 1998, he founded Harvard Capital Corp.
(now Talware Networx Inc.), a junior capital pool company listed on the TSX
Venture Exchange.
In addition to assuming regular board duties, Mr. Wiseman will serve on
Dimethaid's audit committee.
WARNING: The company relies upon litigation protection for
"forward-looking" statements.
