I know of no traditional morality that allows for a public lie to the world to spare who know who's feelings. Fact the information was no-one's business. And idiots lie libel and speculate no matter what one says or does not say. It's a simple choice of character, tell the truth. No comment is telling the truth. None of you business is telling the truth. If you need some personal excuse about exception to telling the truth, you have that right. You can define for yourself any relative morality or honesty you wish. At the heart of this issue is what one believe about the value of truth.
