Since you live there, I know that you have an understanding as to why the people of Germany and Europe were so adamantly opposed to the removal of SH. ( I know this has been discussed before, but you presumedly talk to the people about the war, I assume you would be the closest and best source to report on the feelings and attitudes of the average European.) Are the sentiments still the same after all these months? Since it appears that money wasn't the motive behind the objections, I can only conclude that people of Europe took the position they did because they are a more pacifist body of people since experiencing the ravages of WWII. I also wonder if there isn't a bit of dislike for America/Americans thrown into the mix. M
