everyone is usually pretty magnanimous about their activities.

The creative Elite in this country are violently secular. They love to taunt the Catholics and Evangelicals with art and theatre that they know will shock. But they are mum toward the Muslims. Multiculturalism.

Not by the BBC, to my recollection. The self-distancing and bemused regard of the strange ways of these rubes has always been evident in the Beeb's reportage of such events, imo.

Certainly no BBC reporter ever reported as fact that it WAS a manifestation of the Virgin Mary.
