Your post sounds like having too much subjective judgement from a Western-centric view point.

1. No offense, but who are you to claim whether the gov. in Burma or Sudan is not a representative of their people or country? By the same logic, Chinese gov. should not be a legit representative of the Chinese people either??

2. who said the Western, one-person one-vote "democratic" system HAVE to be adopted in every corner of the whole world?? And who has the right to say so?? And could those govs. which are not elected by one-person, one-vote system never be the legit representative of their own people?

3. Is the US gov. which elected by only 24% or so (48% of pop. ever bother to go to the poll, and about half of them elected Bush) of its total population is more legit than Chinese gov.? And if yes, who said? Not Chinese people, that is for sure!

4. Bribe a gov.? By some standard, the whole US gov. has been bribed by big multi-national corps. But can we say it is not a legit gov.? of course NOT!

Of course, all of the above is just IMHO. People are born/grown up in dif. cultural, dif. ideology, dif social environment, and dif. political systems. So we do think differently.
