I am not familiar with lakes, except to eyeball some. Maryland has a lot of rivers, as well as the Bay and a piece of the Atlantic coast. In Annapolis, for example, there are two rivers on either side of the city (the South and the Severn). Then there is the Magothy, several miles north of town; the West River, a bit outside of the Annapolis suburbs to the south; and the Patuxent, which is less than ten miles outside of town to the west. Then there are a number of creeks that resemble rivers in depth and width towards their mouths, differing only in being much shorter. Many people harbor their boats on the creeks, which generally access a river or the Bay........
