The point is China doesn't have to continue their current rate of growth. They have the luxury of slowing down and proceeding at a far slower pace. Sure they care about growth but they have a lot less to loose than we do if they chose to change gears. Time is on their side and they don’t have to wait till you consider them to be self sustaining to change their policies.
