The US has too much big government for my taste but its not as bad as a lot of other places in the world. The US has more of a tradition of limited government then many other countries. Even if we can assume that the world government would be a democracy the new electorate (of which Americans would only be a small fraction) might easily decide for even bigger government. And can we even take a democracy as a given for this new world government??
