Not when you have precise intelligence that puts the missile into the window of the guy's office, as the Israelis have done more than once.

Terribly reassuring that must be to the people living upstairs.

Since we were speaking of double standards, let's apply that standard elsewhere.

If the Indian military knew for sure that a known Kashmir terrorist was in a specific apartment in downtown Islamabad, would it be ok for them to send a missile into the window?

If the Turkish government knew that a Kurdish terrorist from the PKK was in a certain apartment in Kirkuk, would it be ok for them to put a missile through his window?

If the US government knew that a terrorist linked to 9/11 was in an apartment in downtown Riyadh, could they fire a missile through the window?

The answer in all 3 cases is, of course, a resounding no. The resulting shitstorm would provoke wars, bring down governments, cause massive international repercussions. You can't get away with that, no matter how bad the bad guy is. Nobody can. Except, of course, the Israelis.

When we stop looking at words and start looking at actions, where's the double standard?
