I didn't say most American weren't employed by the private sector. Most Americans work for small businesses. I stand by my 17% figure, the source of which is the book "Collosus", which is a history of corporations in America. In the days of Teddy Roosevelt, government was a balance against the power of corporations. Now, government is owned by corporations. It's an excellent and improtant read - I suggest you give it a try.
