Civilian deaths were an unfortunte side effect."
I see....its okay when we kill civilians but not when anyone else does.

Ted of course you have every right to disagree with Chris and I on this issue but you shouldn't distort our position. Its not a case that X is ok when we do it but not ok when the Palestinian terrorist do it. It is rather the case that the Palestinians and the US military are doing differnt things.

The problem is that you see the Palestinians and the US military doing two different things. What you don't see is that your bias is muddying up the picture. Both the Palestinians and the US military think they are doing what needs to be done to protect their interests. The result of their efforts is that innocent people are dying.

Both the Palestinians and the US military claim that the killing is a lamentable but necessary consequence of war. Just because the Palestinians use humans as bomb does not make the results worse. The result is death for the Israelis and the Iraqis. The distinction you and Hodgkins make soothes only your consciences.....it does nada for the dead Iraqis or the Israelis.
