Will...I don't know the answer to this but I would expect
so. It depends on the size of the screen and devices required to drive the OLED's...there will still be power
supplies. The nice thing about this technology is that it
can be scaled up or down to any size display... I'd really
like a 35" monitor with excellent resolution and a 6'x8'
HDTV for $1000.... I believe this technology will quickly
obsolete plasma displays and rear projection screens once
it goes into full manufacturing production....probably
within 3 years. BB

Will-- >>Wouldn't there also be big energy savings? << There will be very big energy savings. Currently most light sources lose energy by generating heat. OLEDs emit all light and little,if any,heat. Therefore they are being introduced in cell phones,etc.

There is a problem that blue OLED sources have a short life-span,but that seems to getting addressed.
