I am totally in favor of anaerobic digestion, but energy production costs are hard to determine because there are no consistent large scale projects. ......HORSEPUCKY.....!!!

Boy, do you have a lot to learn........... There is a huge biodiesel project in Utah that will convert manure fron a huge new hog CAFO into methane and then convert the methane into biodiesel and a secondary operation. This project has been funded by Smithfield Foods, to resolve their flagrant violations of environmental regulations regarding their plants and farms. Many more projects of various megasizes to follow, and none of them cluttering up the landscape with huge propellers that stop when the wind blows to slow - or too fast.

Also, their are many landfills now providing biogas directly to powerhouses. Clean, green, efficient - and no stupid "..whooshing.." windmills splattered all over the neighborhood and skyline.

When you finally understand "..heat rate..", you will finally understand why windpower will never compete successfully nationwide ( or worldwide ) with Anaerobic Digestion, which is growing by leaps and bounds.

You obviously have never read Leon Breckenridge's new patent, where the biogas yield per dry-weight pound of digester input has been increased by 300%-to-400% over all previous designs. And, neither have the propeller-pushers - who will be put out of business.

As with most Demoncrats, ignorance and Hillary drivel is bliss.

John :-)
